Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from Mimi, Paul & Charlie!
Dear Friends and Family,

We hope 2024 has been a fantastic year for you! As the Holiday season arrives, we wish you all the joy, love, and happiness of this special time.

We celebrated Christmas 2023 in Scottsdale, with Paul visiting before Christmas and Pam spending the holiday week with us. One of the highlights was celebrating with Mimi at Torbrook Manor.

Mimi continues to enjoy the caring environment at Torbrook Manor, a small, welcoming group home of 12 residents. She participates in activities, stays engaged, and enjoys lunches out often when I visit her. While recovering from a femur injury, she’s making steady progress with physical therapy and her trusty walker. Thanksgiving was especially heartwarming this year, with a family-style celebration at Torbrook, which included all the Torbrook residents and many family members.

Our year included some challenges and blessings. In July, I underwent a successful knee replacement, limiting my usual golfing time in Flagstaff. During recovery, I was fortunate to have Paul and Pam take turns staying with me in Scottsdale. Their visits overlapped, allowing us meaningful family time, including special times with Mimi.

I have settled into life at the Vi at Grayhawk, making many lovely friends and engaging in activities. In addition to supporting our scholarship foundation as development chairman and engaging in many activities and social get-togethers, I have had the opportunity to take two international trips with a close friend from the Vi at Grayhawk, Karen Brown. We went on a 14-day trip to Egypt in March. In November, over Thanksgiving, we cruised the Caribbean for 12 days. I enjoy traveling, and having Karen join me is a pleasure. We will continue to enjoy life together.

Annual traditions continued, with a visit to California in October to see Pam, Paul, and Tracy. We celebrated my sister Barbara’s 90th birthday with family, followed by time in Sonoma wine country with Paul and Tracy. Earlier in the year, I joined in the family celebration of Bob’s 90th birthday.

We are so very proud of Pam, Paul, and Tracy. We are blessed with their success. They have very responsible, rewarding careers and stay active at work, play, and the community.

May your holiday season be filled with cherished moments, and may 2025 bring you health, happiness, and all your heart’s desires. We’d love to hear what you’ve been up to this year!
